RAND, one of the nation's think tanks, sponsors and maintains this comprehensive web site on California public policy issues. The web site includes services and products in six areas with an extensive database on California and its cities and counties, ranging from the economy to crime rates to school test scores.

Statistical Resources on the Web includes information on agriculture, business and industry, consumers, cost of living, demographic's, economics, education, energy, environment, finance and currency, foreign economics, foreign governments, foreign trade, government finances, health, housing, labor, military, politics, science, sociology, transportation and weather. Frames and no-frames versions of the database are available. As the National Data Book it contains a collection of statistics on social and economic conditions in the United States. Selected international data are also included.
